![]() This sounded good in the trunk of my 5 series, however I am now driving an xj cherokee and I am leaning towards a vented enclosure, as it might sound better in an SUV setting. I currently have a PA-1 preamp/eq feeding a punch 360a2, 500a2 and 800a2 with the 800a2 running the 15's in a sealed enclosure at 2.5 cf per chamber. I really love the subs, as I am a fan of oldschool rockford equiment. The range in the manual for sealed is 2 - 3.5 and the range for ported is 2.25 - 3, however the optimal size for either is pointed out in the manual as 2.5 cubic feet.ĭoes anyone feel with updated computer modeling technology that those recommendations are now outdated and a more efficient, better sounding enclosure can be achieved for these subs? I have attached the specs and T/S parameters, as well as a screenshot of the enclosure section of the manual. ![]() ![]() I have two Rockford Fosgate RFR2215 PowerDVC subs and the manual states the recommended enclosure size for ported and sealed is 2.5 cubic feet. ![]()
